We saw the the roads in Fuchu Museum. The people  were right next door to a river and, instead of the roads, they had rivers so they could just go and get water from the rivers.  Then, they had dirt roads which lead to concrete and tarmac of the present. That is how roads and people changed.  So, how did roads change how people lived?  Roads changed the society of how people traveled.  Roads brought communities closer together and enabled people to go places. Roads provided service for the people.  Before roads, people used rivers to travel.  Roads made traveling easier.  Instead of traveling by boat, or raft, people could walk or ride horses.  Traveling by road was faster than traveling on the river.  With roads, people can go in any direction- with a river, people have to go in the direction of the river.  When people can travel, they can blend with other societies thus making civilizations more diverse and unique.
