How Did Bringing In Chinese Ideas Change How People Lived?
by Yuka and Justine
Around 30,000 BC, the Tama river started after the island rose and all the river water on the island dropped from the cliff and started a new river. Then around 700BC - AD 300, people built their own houses out of straw because they didn't have any richer equipment and gears to make the houses. They hung food like fish, rabbits, birds and wild pigs for storage, so that in the winter when they aren't able to hunt nor grow food much, they can eat the food that they stored. They made their own pots made out of clay with a design and messages that meant something important to them. The river societies cities were opposite, there cities were well planned out. The river societies and Fuchu people both hunted for food like fish and gathered crops that were available to serve them.
The great people of China brought a lot of strategies to Fuchu, Japan. Japanese people still use, and borrow, the way that the Chinese people lived. One of the things are that they built were Chinese temple looking houses and walls around the houses which changed the way Japanese people lived. Japanese people used those strategies to protect their own property and they thought that the buildings were original. They also brought a new writing system called Kanji. Some kanji's they brought was "Sato" which means your own original town/village/ or city. Chinese government owns their own monuments, pictures, and symbolize for who they are. They also have religions that they believe in. The people in Japan still use some symbols and pictures from China probably because they are colorful, beautiful and very creative. There are many characteristics in common between the River civilizations and the Chinese strategies they brought in to Japan. The River societies and China both have their own government, technologies and art pieces. Some of the art works done in both civilizations are that they had some kind of pot or basket to sort and keep their own food and other equipment..
