In Brazil with population, you can talk about people, density and ethnicity. First I want to talk about the total population in Brazil. The population is 144,925,000 in 2005.But, 50 years ago there was half of that. The capital of Brazil, Brasília has 1,577,000 people. Rio de Janerio has 10,000,000. Brazil has the 6 largest amount of people in it. The growth in Brazil has increased rapidly over the time of 50 years. So it varies were you live which is the next topic. In Brazil the population will differ where you live. If you live in Sao Paulo, there will be traffic and most likely will be crowded. But, if you live in the southwest of Brazil it won’t be as crowded as a big city because it is more of a farming area. Also only 9.7 percent of the population is in the southwest. My last topic is on ethnicity of Brazil. To start
with, 63% of all Brazilians are under the age of 23 because a family
usually consists of 5-7 children per family. Also the average age of a
Brazilian is between 15-59 years. Brazil has the largest amount people
of Japanese ancestry outside of Japan because in the 1900’s Japan had
just gotten over several wars and Japan was running low on rice but the
Brazilian government knew the Japanese could make great farms. So the
Braziliazn government paid for the
Japanese trips over to Brazil. Last 55% of the people in Brazil have European background because Portugal the country that founded the land of Brazil had a settlement but the Brazilians took over Portuguese and the Brazilians started there own settlement on there land. So the Brazilians let many other European counties to come. So as you can see Brazil has large amounts of different ethnicity. Now you know a littlie about population, density, and ethnicity. But there is all always more to learn.
